Hello hello hello, everyone! Long time no blog, right?? I know, I know, it’s been a year since I’ve written my last blog (yikes) but junior year was a whirlwind and now I am about to enter my senior year. HOW AM I ALREADY A SENIOR IN COLLEGE *cries*. On top of school keeping me super busy, I lost a lot of my motivation for writing content. But I have made it a goal of mine for the second half of 2018 to be more active on my blog and actually follow through with it by not worrying so much about the quantity of posts, but the quality of them. So with that being said, I was going to give you guys an update on what I have been up to!
Not many of you know this, but I will be moving to Maine after I graduate college and I am BEYOND excited. I have been visiting my dad there during every Christmas and summer break that I’ve had and I just fall more and more in love with that place. It sounds super cheesy but I haven’t felt at peace or a sense of “rightness” in a place until I first visited Maine when I was a sophomore in high school. Another thing I’d like to point out is that I am definitely NOT an outdoors person, but you’ll catch me outdoors at every opportunity I get there, especially when you can just drive a little bit out of town and see the mountains, the ocean, or even both! And I absolutely adore it. Maine also has the best ice cream I’ve ever had js.
As of this August, I will be entering my senior year of college as a pre-med biomedical engineer. How have we gotten to this point already?! I remember starting this blog my freshman year of college, wanting to pursue my childhood endeavor of sharing my passion for books with others but also using it as a way to channel out my stress. Even though I haven’t been very consistent with actually posting blog posts, but I’ve been counteracting it with my bookstagram. But back to the school aspect of this paragraph haha. I will also be attending and presenting at the Biomedical Engineering Society’s annual research meeting in Atlanta, GA this year which I am super excited about! The last time I attended and presented was when I was a little baby sophomore and it was such an amazing experience, so I am super fortunate and grateful that I get to go again this fall!
I have fallen very behind on my TBR list (what’s new) but I’ve read some pretty good books this year! I was planning on going into more detail in some near-future posts but I will just list my favorites so far!
- The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
- Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas
- Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett
- The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
- The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell
- A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi
It’s so nice to get back to blogging, so I hope to see ya next time!
